The objective of the project is trying to prevent from the outbreak of emerging zoonoses, e.g. highly pathogenic avian influenza (avian influenza), rabies, and bovine spongiform encephalopathy (mad cow disease) by establishing an economical efficiency evaluation method for the prevention strategy, approach or plan. This evaluation model can be applied aggressively to draw up a prevention and control plan and to provide a numerical reason for enabling animal industries and citizens to create maximum interest by investment of resource. On the other hand, adaptation of an unappropriated prevention strategy, approach or plan can be avoided.
