For realizing the emergent prophyi* effect of liquid Ecein for Lewxcytooonc€is. One hundxI and twenty hoilers with 18 days of age were thxtiati with LewxcytcoDon caulleryi Taiwan stain, 500 sporccoites e&zh. Two days (48 hours) and 4,6, 8, 10, 12 days aft inccu1atioi. 002%, 001% and 0.C% of liquid Sctn were added in drinking waa and wnthiuai for 8 days, for tsting Ut emergent prophylac& effaz of liquid Ektin. The result showed that; all hoilers could Ec rroi by the drug with all dcea,ges within 10 days aft incxulation. Any dosageofthedngwas noseffoztivewhen itwas used l2days afttheWckens keing incculatoi.
Liquid sin was a inking watr with dosages 0.02%, 001% and 005% were for 8 ootnectve days. Ut weight gain and fJ-consurnption ra in da’g-used gstujt were significantly higher than that of drug-released control group. The weight- gain of the drug-used groups and contr4 group were 4,158g 3,850g. 3,850g and 3,250g resjtzuvely, when it was measured on the 25th day aft inculationl. On Ut other hand, Ut f1-wnsumpdon of the tl chickens were 9,333g 9,142g. 8,984g and SftX)g respectively. From Ut result obine3, we claimed that liquid Ehdn did not have any adverse effects on weight-gain and fSconsumption for hoilers.
