Summary

A serological survey of equine infectious anemia (EIA) in horses in Taiwan was performed using the cxmmerciai antigen by the agar gel immunodif fusion test, of 751 serum samples collecl from 15 geogaphical areas in 19). 16 horses (2.1%) wie rc€itive for EIA antibody. These EA-pe€itive horses were raised in 3 geographical areas. hepceitiverates of EIA-infec1 horse in Kaohsiung. Taija and Miaoli were 1O.4%(8/7?), 4%(7/177) and 2.9%(1B5), restDtively.
