| Summary |
A survey of Salmonella contamination in chicken and duck eggs was carried out over a 2-year period in Taiwan. Total of 4802 chicken eggs and 583 duck eggs collected from the farms all around the island were examined from july 1990 to 3une 1992. One strain of duesseldotf was isolated from chicken eggs (0.02%). Four strains of Salmonella, Two strains of S. paratyphiB. one strain of S. typhimurium and One strain of S. typhimutium var. copenhagen were isolated from duck eggs (0.69%).
