lndirat hernagglutination (NA) test and agar gel gecipitation (AGP) test was usM to for serotyping and somatic antigen identification of nine stains of Pasteurella multcxida isolatel from nasal cavities of swine. Five stains of type A capsule antigen and four of typeD were identifiM. All the somatic antigens axe obiervM to 1:elong to serotype 3. Immunogens epaxerl from various serotype of Pasteuxefla multccida strains were usM to immunize rabbits and swine. NA antih,dy titer of imnuni rabbit rangerl from 1:32 to 1:2,CI8 depending on the types and stains. The antibcdy titer for immunize swine were low. However, the 11-IA titer increased significantly in resisnt swine after challenge.
