Serum samples of finishing pigs from southern, central and northern Taiwan were randomly ocfleztd once a month at the Mintien slaughterhouse during the 19% fiscal year (from July 1995 to June 19%). During this year, the highest pDeitive rate was 86% in April 19%, but the lowest one was 64 % in January 19%. For vaccine development, three PRRSV isolates, WSV (Taiwan strain), JGLJKV (obtain&J from U. S. A.) and H2V (obtainal from U. K.), have been adaptl to Marc-145 cell line for El) passages. And all these adapl strains have a virus titer higher than log. 5.5 TCID 50 ml.
