Abstract

The life cycle of veterinary drugs is lengthy, and the quality surveillance in the life cycle is very complicated. The quality surveillance of post-market veterinary drugs is one of the important part of the veterinary drugs quality management policies. The Animal Drugs Inspection Branch of Animal Health Research Institute provided the post-market veterinary general drugs ingredients, quality and quantity of quality inspection in collaboration with authority’s policy of randomly sampling on the market. The project is based on the Veterinary Drugs Control Act and veterinary drugs inspection standard. These inspection results will become part of the veterinary drugs risk assessment data. To ensure veterinary drug safety and promoting the development of veterinary drugs industry. In the analysis of the inspection results of the post-market veterinary general drugs in 2011 to 2016, more than 73% of sampling drugs was domestic product;a inspecting compliance rate of up 95.9% was detected. In addition, the results showed the main unqualified active ingredient was Penicillin G.
