| Summary |
Premixes were pretreated directly with a little mobile phase, then added to the volume. After mixing and filtration, the filtrate was injected into a high performance liquid chromatography ( HPLC ) which was equipped with a BECKMAN OCTYL 4.6 x 250 mm column and 275 nm detector. The mobile phase was 5mM PICB5 ( adjust to pH 3. 25 with acetic acid): methanol= 71: 29. Water Soluble Vitamins ( Niacin, B6, B1, B2) in Premixes could be determined simultaneously. The retention times of Niacin 100 mcg/ml, Vit. B6 50 mcg/ml, Vit. B1 50 mcg/ml, Vit. B2 50 mcg/ml were 3.28, 4.22, 5.47 and 6.82 minute, respectively. Using HPLC, the Water Soluble Vitamins (eg. Niacin, B6, B1, B2) in premixes can be determined rapidly and simultaneously and the risk of exposure to toxic organic solvents ( eg. BrCN ), the time and operation task can be reduced.
