Summary

ABSTRACT The purpce of this surveillance is to realize epidemiology of avian influenza in Taiwanese wild birds and poultry farms. lii 2(1)4, a total of 3,351 of focal samples from wild birds were examinM. Sevenn viruses were iso1ad and subtyoc{ as H1ON3, H6N5, H4N6, H4N2. H4N8, HSN2. H5N6, H11N9andH1ON6, McGtof these viruses were isolatd from duck fercal samples; however two viruses, H6NS and Sinninary HSNZ were isolateri from shuebird. In addition, 3 strains of 115142 viruses were isolaJ from 4,814 samples colleced from poultry farms, including 2 from thicken farms and one from domestic duck fain All isolatoi AIVs were demonstratud to 1.e low thogent viruses.
