Research Information Development and commercialization of DNA-chip diagnosis kits for differential diagnosis of porcine respiratory disease complex

Plan Year: 2005
This year, we will development and commercialization of DNA-chip diagnosis kits for differential diagnosis of porcine respiratory disease (PRDC), including 12 pathogens, porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS), swine influenza virus (SIV), pseudorabies virus (PR), porcine respiratory corona virus (PRCV), porcine circovirus type II (PCV II), classical swine fever virus (CSFV), salmonella, mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, streptococci species, toxigenic pasteurella multocida, bordetella bronchiseptica and actinobacillus pleuropenumoniae. We analyzed the nucleic acid sequences of those 12 pathogens and design the primers and specific probes. The specific probes will be spotted to the DNA-Chip and the specimen will be confirm the results by the PCR/RT-PCR and hydridization pattern. Finlly, we will evaluate the diagnosis kits by testing the field samples.
