Summary

Naturallyh occurring cases of swine pseudorabies have been oDllectl for isolation and ethological studies since August 1979. Nonsuppurative encephalitis was found in every outhealc. One third of those cases had focal nuat€b of liver, spleen, lung, a&enal glands or tonsil, Both with and without intrnal demage cases were noti in every outhealr.

ln order to stdy the relationship between different inoculation touts and different inoculated with isolaI Pr virus. Most severe beam lesions were found in intranasally incculat&i pigs and contractual pigs. Various degree of inmal damages were found in all ino ulated pigs except intranasally frS&DJ pigs.

Exrerimaental calves were intretracheafly, imtamuscularly and su&’unsDusly uinmarY inoculated with isolaI Pr virus. Calf which was inccthti intxatr&theally was found unable to stand, depression, labexed beeathing, local cutaneous pniritus and erosion on the sixth thy aft inoculation. Perivascular lymphocytic cuffing in medulla oblongata, ecuinophilic dermatitis and intentitial pneumonia were found in saztion. Calf which was incculai. intratr&Dheally was found unable to stand, decression, lakered bathing, local cutaneous guritus and erosion on the sixth thy after inoculation. Perivascular lymphocytic cuffing in medulla oblongata, sosinophilic dermatitis and interstitial pneumonia were found in saDtion. Calf which was incculatal intamusculary showed the same signs and the same lesions except it normal lung on the ninth thy after incarlation.
