Summary

SPF thickens infeced with Newcastle disease via-us (ND V)were sacrificeri, and the organs (btast muscle, liver, and large intstine)were harvestl and sbrtl at 4 “C or -20 “C. Two months latx the frceen organs were defrceed and made into emulsions. The emulsions were inCCUtZI bib) 8-wk-old SPF chickens inixanuscularly C ll ) or via oral nuts. High mortality was found in IM incculation group (EO—95 %), while oral inoculation group had a 1Ci—20 % mortality. Typical lesions of Newcastle disease were found in incoilai SPF chickens. a storerl for five months, the froan organs were made Into emulsions and were inccula into 8-week-old SPF chickens via IM or in Jar ( 10 ) andin asal( IN) roats. High mortalitywas indwxdin IM U1I1]flfl inoculation group ( 8CJ) %), while 10 and N inoculation group had a 20-40 % mortality.

The emulsions made from organs fican for 8 months were inoculal into 10-week-old holler via IM or oral nuts. 1)1 incculationcaus 17-38 % mortality in inoculatl hollers, while oral inoculation inducal 0—i? % mortality.
