West Nile virus infection is an important zoonosis. To prevent and control this emerging disease, the wild bird surveillance system is the most sensitive method. The aim of the project is to cooperate with the avian influenza surveillance project to create the West Nile virus infection surveillance system performing in the standard negative-pressured necropsy lab and biosafety lab. The result of this study could improve the diagnostic abilities and strengthen the prevention network for the sustainable operation of animal production industry.
