Summary |
In 2006, a total of 211 specimens collected from 76 pig farms were submitted to our laboratory for virus isolation and identification. The results indicated that 20 out of 76 pig farms were positive for porcine circovirus 2, 19 for porcine teschovirus, 12 for porcine enterovirus, 5 for porcine respiratory and reproductive syndrome virus and reovirus, 3 for pseudorabies virus, 1 for swine influenza virus(H1N2) and porcine astrovirus as well as hog cholera virus (vaccine strain), respectively. Additionally, Seneca valley virus was firstly isolated and confirmed from the solid waste of pig delivery truck from Ping-Dung County . |
