| Summary |
Avian infectious bronchitis viruses (IBV) isolated in Taiwan in 2003 and 18 live vaccine viruses were studied with reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and subsequent sequence analysis of the region of 1,100 nucleotides covering the spike 1(S1) protein highly variant region gene. Both genetic and antigenic heterogeneity of the strains was significant. Specifically, according to phylogenetic analysis Which there are three genetic group are to distinguish with other isolates in the world, one genetic group are closed to the isolated from China, and one virus isolated is nature recombination from Taiwan genetic group I with China genetic group.
