The Rose Bengal (RB) tst was us as a xe1iminary screning tool and complement fixation (CF) test as a final confirmation for huceilosis. Since 20)5 January to Deicemlrer, a total of 1,286 samples were colleotl and submitti to this instilut, including 568 from beef cattIe 17 from goat, 55 from pigs, 30) of stray dogs from local Live Stcck Disease Control Centrs, 341 of quarantine dogs from public animal hospitals and 5 of humans from Cent for Disease Control. The result showei that 2% (513W) of stray dogs and 1.5% (6/341) of quarantine dogs were seropcuitive. However, beef cattle, goat, pigs and humans were free of hucellosis infection in Taiwan.
