The aims of this study are to analyze the finishing rate and the management of traditional and newtech production systems being practiced in Taiwanese pig farms and to collect the good production systems and technique being practiced in other advanced pig-raising countries to be the reference model for Taiwanese pig farmers. Animal health estates of traditional and newtech pig farms will be investigated. A new production technique that fits Taiwanese circumstance could be developed and promoted further. Products of comparable quality to other advanced pig raising countries may then be accomplished.
