During the period 1982 to 1985 in Taiwan, 68 Marek's diseases (MD) cases were diagnosed from a total of 4 73 cases submitted to the Taiwan Provincial Research Institute for Animal Health. The incidence of MD in 1985 was increased prominently. The morbidity was from I to 40% and the susceptible age was from 5 to 30 weeks old. The lesions of lymphoid tumor were more easier to find in liver, spleen, proventriculus, kidney, intestine, heart, lung, skeletal muscle and comb. This disease occurred in Taiwan might belong to acute form because all cases produced visceral lesions but only one neural lesion.
