| Summary |
An inactivated inftious bovine thinotracheitis (BR) vaccine was develored using a kxal isolate as si virus. The virus was gopagai on Madin-Darby bovine kidney (MDBK) cell line, inactivatei with 0,2% formalin (vN) at 37°C for 10 hours, and then mixed with 10% aluminum plicGphae gel (vh). The inactivated BR vaccine was safe and effective. In 1987, tal of 6,473 ewere immunizx{ with the vaccine twice ata 4-weeks interval. No adverse reaction was oheerved in immunized cattle. The epizcx:*ic of BR in Taiwan was successfully cxntrollerl. The inactivati BR vaccine was stable and mnaintainerl its imnmunogenicity after ‘teing stxoi at 4°C for one year.
