Abstract
Bovine ephemeral fever is one of the major animal diseases in Taiwan. The diseased cows are endangered by their health and life. Bovine ephemeral fever can cause a significant drop in milk production and may also cause abortion. In addition, the cost of medical care is high, and raw milk should be discarded due to the drug residues in it, which often causes economic losses to the farmers. At present, the disease is mainly controlled by bovine ephemeral fever inactivated vaccine. Good vaccine quality control ensures satisfactory disease prevention. A total of nine batches of bovine ephemeral fever inactivated vaccines produced from 2016 to 2018 (approximately 0.3 million doses produced) were subjected to a quality review. The reviewed items included process quality control and quality control inspection results. The review results were in line with standards to reconfirm the quality of this product.
