BaI:esia spp had keen isolati from a cattle herd in Pinumg area, then incculatal into young calf and the infeted bkxid was obtain&i for antigen pxeration. The antigen for oomplement-fnation (CE) tst was pepared by distilled watr extraction while antigen for capilaxy-tul:e agglutination (CA) st was prepared by sonicatiuon, CF antigen from the third to the fifth extraction had kettr antigenicity and did not have anyanticomplementary acth’ity. Ifs tier reached as high as 1:8 while CA antigen showed only 1:2 against positive semm. By the comparison with positive sera of field cases, the accuraryofCFestwas 1(0% (1QI1O) whilethatof CAest was 60% (640). Itwas proved that CF est is more sensitive than CA est by this st4y.
