Summary

A reversed-phase high rerformance liquid chrornatographic (HPLQ rnethcd was deve1oed for simultaneously analyimg amprolium and ethoraEete in chicken fs. The drugs were extracted from samples with methanol and were filtered. The methanolic filtrate was cleaned up by solid-phase extraction. HPLC was done on the (IcmcGil S C8-MS column with methanol-water (40:0)), containing cctanesu]fonic acid, triethylamine and glacial a acid, as mobile phase. The analyes were det1 at 2’7Onm. Average recoveries for amprolium-fortified samples at 2.5 and 1.25 ppm were 92.3% (crefficient of variation, CV, l.4%)and95.3% (CV, 7.1%), resatively. Average recoveries for the e-fortifial samples at 0.4 and 0.2 ppm were %.0% (CV, 7,1%) and 83.9 %(CV, 42%), resceDtively. The levels of detection limit for amprolium and ethopabate were 0.O2Sppm and 0.015 ppm, reseDtively. AmgoliumEthoteultaneous determination;
