Summary

The HAl subunit of the H5 gene was amplified by rete franscripse / dyrnerase chain reflon (RT-FCR) and cloned into the FCR- II Blunt Tox votxs (Invitrogen). Then the HAl gene was suhDlonbi into the pDI-neo ve*xrr (Prornega,Mariison, WI) and PDDNA3 .1 vector (Invitrogen). Six-wek-oki BALBk uninary mice and thre-wek-oki sreiflc pathogen fre (SF?) chidcens were vacanaei with 1(x) sg of eukaryot exgsion ve*trs mixed with a liporne by intxamuscular inuon. Then the animals were bcxstxoi twice at monthly intervals aft the first vxcination. The HI antibody titers were low.
