Summary

A total nunker of summary 520 f&es and 74 excxetu samples were oollectd from pig farms lcx2nd in northern, central, southern and easrn Taiwan (including prefeztures, Tairei, Uan, Hawlein, Kauhsung, Chayi and Yunlin). The prthpitaton methcd and ficeting methcd were carried out on each sample for the examination of xasit eggs or occysts, follower! by calculation of them using McMastr oounr plati. The result were summarthi as follow:

1. Feal contamination of porcine ccxxidia was mcGt evident to ke 17.3% (S01520), follower! by Trichuris suis, 7.7% (4 (V520), OesphagcGtomum dentatum, 3.7% (19/520), Ascaris suum, 3.3%(17/520), Strongyloides ransorni, 3.1 %(161520), Ascarops spp, 1 .2% (61520). Last evidence was Rhalxiitis suis that was 0.3 8% (2/520).

2. Five out of 74 excieta (6.8%) were found to he contarninati by Coctidia, only one of theta could he sponilal.

3,Any kindofpssasit eggs of occysis could not he found in the fishing pond fed by the porcine excxe
