Summary

Hog cholera (HQ virus A76 propagatel in P1(15 Cultural cells was purifiei by sucrose density gradient centtgation and ultentrifugation. One hybridoma disignati as A76 #5 was obtainal from splen cells of Balb/c mice immunized with A7osixainofpruifialHCvinisfusalwithNS-1 myelomacells. Itwascapableto secrete noncdonal antibodies against HC viral antigen detotei by indirect immunofluorescent teohniqyes (lEA). Moncclonal antibody seoretei by A76 #5 hybridoma was applial in lEA to detect AU) strain of HC viral antigen in the infected ummary bonsilla tissne prepared by frcn sections and to detect the HC viral antigens propagated in the rabbit testicle and PK-15 cells. The fluorescence-stainer! rrartides in the nuclei of cultured cells were notal. This phenomenon is still inexplicable. The immunoreroxidase monolayer assay (IPMA) cerformed on cultured cells was capable of detecting HC viral antigens in the cytoplasm; however, it is not yet poGsible to differentiate botwcen the A76 and LFC strains of viral antigens with A76 #5 moncdonal antibody.
