Summary

We descril in this work a sroDiflc simple soologic method for the insre±on and evaluation on the efficacy of vaccine against actionobacillus pleuropneumoniae (AP) serotye ? were used for the earation of CF. TA antigens, and all aharad good sthficity, with La antigen was the simplest of all, hi the laboratory-test, the 8-wek-old piglets hnmuni2rd with Inrins of the different Al> seroty were challenged with 3 ml of live AP Icteria at a concentration of tO”9 CFUhn1 by intxanasal instillation, Only the group which had received a bx’ster vaccination at 2-wek interbals oould survive the challenge, and the level of serum antibody kefore challenge (4 web after the fust vaccination), determinal by the CF, TA and LA methods, were 4-8, 8-32. resectively. These revealed that pigs with antibody titer than 1:8 times have the ability to serve the challenge. In the field-test, The antibody titer in. booster group still it was higher than that of the pigs immuniz& with inactivatl bactrin once. The highest antibody titers esent at 8-wek pzct-vathnation were 17.75-16.69, 28.84-33.12. and 20.39-28.84 (geometric mean), resgectively for CF, TA and LA methods.
