Summary

Culture suspensions of Borde]la honchisep&a (B.b.) 12-1 stain cultured in Tryptic soy broth at 37? for 36 hours and Pasteurefla multodda type D (Pn.-D) 12948 strain cultured in Brain heart infusion broth for 24 horns were used for experimental stdies, Four-day-old piglets born to sows withont B.b. and P,n.-D antibcdies were incorlaalviathenc6frilwithlmlofB.b.,P.rn.-Dalone,ortheircombinal suspensions, respe±vily. The inoculations of piglet were marie every day for 3 and S days, Those infected piglets were sacri&ed for examination afier%days and 120 days. The result indicated that &ther suspension would induce various degrees of turbinate atrophy of infected piglet, however, the leaions induced by inoculation with combined suspensions were more severe than those induced with individual suspension.
