Summary

The SPF pigs of 4 weeks old were inccu]a with NY1-BVD, prepared from infeced bovine spleen, and 16 pig-passa,gal BVD virus jreseDtively. Aft ]nOculatlOn, no clinical signs was observed. This est was emphasird on clinical observation, pathological lesions and virus distribution. The inoculatul pigs were killed on3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 thys postincculatiom.

On pigs vaccinaed. with NY1-BVD pepard from bovine spleen, the virus oould not ke detied on the 3rd thy rcsthicculaion, The virus was initially isoleti from
meseneric. subliac lymph nodes and spleen.on 6th. Days postincoilation. On the 9th day, the virus was iso from each organ.

On the 15th thy, BVD virus was isolated only from meseneric lymph node and spleen or kidney,

When 16 pig-passagal BVD virus was given to the pigs, it could It isolatd from mandibular, mesenric, stial lymph nodes and spleen on the 3rd thy pcetincculation.

On the 6th thy, the virus was rezoovered from each organ. On the 15th thy, some lymph nodes only revealed the viral exisnce. It indicaal only lymphatic infection.
