Summary

Protein A-Colloidal gold iminuncektron rnicrcccopy (PAGIEM) has keen employed to sjnifically cleat Swine Transmissible Gastcentertis virus in either swine anti-TOE serum or TOE raoncclonal antibcdy teatoi negative stained fluid spthmens. This rapid and sensitive immunoassay was found to ke applicable to partially purified virus preparation.

Swine Transmissible Gasucenteritis virus antigen were lakeled in L.R, White ernkeisi Smmna ultrathin stion of CPK cell, using protein A-colloidal gold. Antigens in the rough endoplasmic reticulum, lysc€omelike particles, or virus dusters were tagged with lSnm gold particles.

Woriting with different viruses and antisera, proein A-Colloidal gold, can 1± used as an universal gold stain, instead of primary or sndary antibcdis adsorkal to gold, with lc€ing sensitivity or increasing keckound,
