Summary

Two experiments were carried out to evaluate the ifectiveness of a 1 2-month preservation ptricd on the protztive effect of various commercial swine Acuokthllus p]europneumnoni (App) uative kztrins. A total of? oommoercial A. p1europneumoni inaDtive lnnns were coDoo1 and tested. The immune defence index (Elf) against mice treased during the 12-month puesenaton pe&d in which oervatons were mrk, Aft 9-month pencd of pteservation the 11)1 treased to 0.98 (which is kelow the &xepi standard) in one of the7kecterins tested. Whileafter 12-monthpesevation, the IDIofthe3 kacethns  treased to 0.98,0.83 and 0.79 respatively (Iflow the &xeped standard), however the IDloftheother4 Iactrins xernained higher than 1.0 (accepel standard). The anti&dy respc’nse curves hth a similar pattern as that measured by the JOT t by using agglutination t.
